Primary Responsibilities

The overall commander of the vessel, responsible for navigation safety and crew management, ensuring smooth operations and stable fleet performance.

Licensed

Holder of a Class 1 Deck Officer License.

Experience

Over 20 to 30 years of operational experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Utilize sonar, radar, fish finders, buoys, and other navigational instruments to locate fish schools. Direct the deployment and retrieval of fishing gear, and assign tasks to subordinate officers.

Licensed

Holds a Second-Class or Third-Class Deck Officer License.

Experience

Over 10 to 20 years of operational experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Assists the captain in managing deck and crew affairs, and assumes command when necessary to ensure smooth navigation and operations.

Licensed

Holder of a Class 2 Deck Officer License.

Experience

Over 10 to 20 years of operational experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Operate the helm; assist the Fishing Master in monitoring sonar, radar, fish finders, buoys, and other equipment; and carry out tasks assigned by the Fishing Master.

Licensed

Holds a Third-Class or Fourth-Class Deck Officer License.

Experience

Over 5 to 10 years of operational experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Operate various winch systems at the hydraulic control station and assist with net setting and hauling.

Licensed

No license required.

Experience

10 to 20 years of operational experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Keep watch from the crow’s nest or fly with the helicopter to scout for fish.

Licensed

No license.

Experience

10 to 20 years of operational experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare various onboard reports; assist the Fishing Master in troubleshooting sonar, radar, fish finders, buoys, and other navigational instruments; and handle customs clearance procedures for port entry and departure.

Licensed

Holds a Third-Class Radio Operator License.

Experience

10 to 20 years of operational experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage all engine room equipment, oversee refrigeration in the fish hold, and perform maintenance and repairs on various onboard systems.

Licensed

Holds a Second-Class or Third-Class Engineer License.

Experience

10 to 20 years of operational experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist the Chief Engineer in maintaining engine room equipment and monitoring the refrigeration systems.

Licensed

Holds a Third-Class or Fourth-Class Engineer License.

5 to 10 years of operational experience.
