Fishing Master
Primary Responsibilities
- Fish School Detection and Net Operations: Use fish finders, sonar, and sea temperature charts to identify fishing grounds and direct net setting and hauling.
- Fishing Production Planning: Determine fishing routes, operational timing, target species, and catch volume targets.
- Fishing Operations Supervision: Oversee fishing gear maintenance, catch handling, and cold storage management.
Licensed
Holds a Second-Class or Third-Class Deck Officer License.
Experience
Over 10 to 20 years of operational experience.
Captain
Primary Responsibilities
Overall Command: Oversee all onboard administrative, safety, and navigational matters, and exercise the master’s legal authority aboard the vessel.
Navigation and Port Maneuvers: Ensure safe navigation and collision avoidance, and direct port arrivals, departures, and anchoring operations.
External Coordination and Safety Management: Handle customs clearance and maritime reports, and lead emergency drills, including survival and firefighting exercises.
Licensed
Holder of a Class 1 Deck Officer License.
Experience
Over 20 to 30 years of operational experience.
Chief Engineer
Primary Responsibilities
Engineering Department Leadership: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel’s main engines, auxiliary machinery, electrical systems, and refrigeration equipment.
Fuel and Lubricant Management: Manage fuel and lubricating oil requisitions, consumption calculations, and quality monitoring.
Engine Room Safety: Supervise compliance with engine room safety procedures, disaster prevention measures, and the operation of oil pollution prevention equipment.
Licensed
Holds a Second-Class or Third-Class Engineer License.
Experience
10 to 20 years of operational experience.
Chief Mate
Primary Responsibilities
Deck Department Leadership: Oversee deck department administration, maintenance and repair planning, and the management of deck ratings.
Cargo and Catch Management: Manage stowage planning, loading and unloading operations, ballast water adjustments, and temperature monitoring in refrigerated holds.
Navigational Watchkeeping: Keep designated bridge watches while underway, typically from 04:00–08:00 and 16:00–20:00.
Licensed
Holder of a Class 2 Deck Officer License.
Experience
Over 10 to 20 years of operational experience.
Navigation Officer
Primary Responsibilities
Navigational Watchkeeping: Keep navigational watches on the bridge, maintain a lookout, and maintain the designated course and speed.
Navigation Equipment Monitoring: Operate and monitor radar, the Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS), and the Global Positioning System (GPS).
Licensed
Holds a Third-Class or Fourth-Class Deck Officer License.
Experience
Over 5 to 10 years of operational experience.
Bosun
Primary Responsibilities
Deck Crew Supervision: Carry out the chief officer’s instructions, assign tasks, and lead deck crew in maintenance, painting, and cleaning.
Mooring and Line Handling: Supervise mooring and unmooring during port arrivals and departures, anchor handling, and the operation of deck lifting equipment.
Fishing Gear and Cargo Securing: Oversee rope and wire splicing, lashing and securing of fishing gear and cargo, and preparations for loading and unloading the catch.

Lookout
Primary Responsibilities
Visual and Radar Watch: Maintain a visual lookout from the bridge or masthead lookout in all weather conditions, monitoring nearby vessels, obstacles, buoys, and changes in weather.
Immediate Reporting: Promptly report any sightings or unusual conditions, such as lights, fish schools, or suspected distress signals, to the officer of the watch.

Radio Operator
Primary Responsibilities
Communications Equipment Management: Operate and maintain the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), satellite communications systems, and radio equipment.
Message Handling and Recordkeeping: Receive weather forecasts and navigational safety notices, handle communications with the company and ports, and maintain communications logs.
Licensed
Holds a Third-Class Radio Operator License.
Experience
10 to 20 years of operational experience.
Second Engineer
Primary Responsibilities
Engine Room Operations Supervision: Develop and implement scheduled maintenance plans for engine room machinery and supervise engineering personnel.
Main Engine and Critical Machinery Maintenance: Take primary responsibility for maintaining and repairing the main propulsion engine, main boilers, and major machinery components.
Engine Room Watchkeeping: Arrange engineering watch schedules and manage inventories of engine room spare parts and tools.
Licensed
Holds a Third-Class or Fourth-Class Engineer License.
Experience
5 to 10 years of operational experience.
